Fireman uniform
A fireman uniform, also known as turnout gear or bunker gear, is specialized clothing worn by firefighters for protection during emergency response activities. It consists of several components designed to provide thermal insulation, flame resistance, and overall safety. The uniform typically includes a fire-resistant jacket and pants made from materials like Nomex or Kevlar, which offer durability and protection against heat and flames. Fireman uniforms also incorporate reflective striping for visibility in low-light conditions and may feature pockets and straps for carrying essential tools and equipment. These uniforms are essential personal protective equipment (PPE) for firefighters, enabling them to safely and effectively combat fires and other emergencies while minimizing risks to their own safety.
